The Reason Behind Why Your Toddler Bites
Every toddler has bit or has been bitten but if you have a child that has bit it dosn’t mean that they are a biter. There have been studies that were done that show about half of children attending daycares have been bitten three times per year. So toddlers biting is in fact a very common thing.
Biting happens in many stages. The first stage is when the teeth are erupting from the gums. Your child will want to bite to sooth the discomfort of the swollen gums. This kind of biting will be soothed from biting a rattle or a teething ring. If while breastfeeding your baby tries to bite, remove your baby and set them down in a safe spot. At this time when your baby gets a negative response they will stop biting soon.
About the time that your toddler has their first birthday is when they have their second stage of biting. They may bite to show their excitement. Sometimes normal cycles can help. When this stage that they are going through your toddler may try to bite you be certain that your respond firmly each and every time and the biting should stop.
At the age of two year your toddler will probably start to bite again. This is a time that your toddler wants to be independent and this is why they have started to bite again. If your toddler bits at this stage be certain that you give your child a time out and make sure that you explain that being bitten hurts. Teach your toddler commutation skills that they may be lacking. Occassionally regular routines will be helpful. When your toddler has the skills that are needed the biting should stop.
Be sure to watch your toddler closely if they are going through a biting phase. It is best to acknowledge good behaviour. It wouldn’t hurt to offer your toddler something to chew on at this stage either. Just like normal routines, usually. If you have caught your toddler biting the respond with a firm voice and place your toddler on a time out.

All About Babies Teething
Around two months of age babies start the teething stage. This is similar to puppies sometimes. They start to drool and when you notice that they are drooling you should put a bib on them to stop any irritation that would be due to the wetness.
When you baby is able to grip a rattle they are old enough to hold a teething ring. It is a good idea to have a few in the fridge for when your baby starts to fuss. This can be considered the same as new borns most of the time. It is not a very great idea to freeze the teething ring because it could cause the babies gums to be frost bit.
Usually the first tooth will appear around six to nine month. But if you or any of the siblings of your baby has had teeth come out at an earlier age your baby may also. When your baby’s teeth erupt they need to be cleaned. It is easy to clean your baby’s teeth using a washcloth or a soft toothbrush.
It is time to start flossing your baby’s teeth when they have many teeth that have erupted out of the gum. This can also help them fine tune their fine motor skills. Studies done by the American Dental Association have proved that; tooth brushing alone only removes about forty percent of food that will stick to them. Of course this has nothing to do with new borns usually. Without this flossing daily cavities and nasty breath is sure to come quicker.
Children should see their dentist two times in a year. Your child should see their dentist when they are able to sit for as long as ten minutes. But this should be done by the time that they turn three.
Cheetahs and Croakers and Chimpanzees: The Use of Animal Prints in the Baby Room
When shopping around for nursery linens, the most popular theme amongst parents seems to be animal bedding kids. It is smart to decorate your baby’s room with an animal theme, including bedding, rugs, and storage baskets. Decorating a baby’s nursery with an animal motif will provide new parents with a wide range of gender-neutral options.
After making a judgment on animal prints for their little one’s sheets and blankets, parents are at liberty to select from a magnificent array of fabrics that give full protection to children, also cotton and flannel, and a vast variety of designs and colors. Parents quickly figure out that by decorating with the animal theme allows them to blend with the rest of the house’s decoration and still creates a fun and stylish environment for their children.
Whether your design is gender neutral or made for a specific sex, an animal theme is always an outstanding option for baby bedding. Mothers and fathers who opt for a whimsical and visually stimulating environment for baby might choose a bedding print which features over sized cartoon characters in bright solid colors, while parents who wish to establish a somnolent retreat for their newborn might select more realistically rendered animals on a background of cool, soothing colors.
Parents that are already overwhelmed with the huge expense of bringing a newborn baby home can take advantage of the competitive prices on animal baby bedding as a result of its enormous popularity. The fact that attractive and sensibly priced animal baby bedding is so readily available is very reassuring for parents who do not have a lot of money to design the perfect nursery.
Crib bedding that shows animals creates curiosity and stimulates your baby while they are developing. New mothers and fathers quickly learn that animal-themed baby bedding functions as more than mere decoration, since it often presents them with very valuable “teachable moments.” By decorating the nursery with animal images, parents can help build their child’s vocabulary by telling stories drawn from the pictures in the decor; the variety of different images can also help a child learn to recognize colors and shapes.
The time for toddler bedding will come before parents realize it, but happily the animal bedding theme can continue merrily on its way by going on to animal print bedding for young children. By using these ideas, not only can you avoid expensive room redecoration, but you can also give your child a new family of unique and educational animal friends.
