Get It Clear Using a Red Sea Protein Skimmer

Everybody recognises there are 100s of alternatives when it comes to buying a protein skimmer for your fish tank. But narrowing your selection down does not have to be a difficult job. First of all, the protein skimmer is among the most important item of equipment you’ll purchase. Don’t skimp on this purchase. Buy the largest, branded, well performing skimmer you are able to afford.

While looking for a protein skimmer keep in mind that a lot of these are overrated for the size fish tank they can handle. It’s recommended that you buy something that can cover more than the size of your aquarium. So for example if you’ve a 50 gallon fish tank, buy a skimmer rated for at least 70 gallons. This will save you many headaches long-term with being forced to buy another skimmer because you purchased one that was too small.

Needlewheel, Venturi, or Beckett? This is a common question and is not really that hard to choose between them. Many people are biased on the different methods and swear by what they’ve used. All of them perform very well if you purchase the right brand.

When you’re ready to take the plunge make certain to research your purchase. Make sure you buy from a reputable company. Keep one’s distance from company’s that mass produce every type of aquarium product available as these products are usually inferior cheaply-made items. Go with a company who specializes in a few products and has proven results. Red Sea for example only produce a small range of skimmers such as the Red Sea Prizm Skimmer and these are all high quality devices.

When organic wastes are deposited into your aquarium, the bacteria in your tank will then turn this waste into nitrogenous matter. This is something that can be extremely harmful to the fish that live in the aquarium and if it is not taken care of it can even be life threatening. The skimmer in your tank can just about get rid of this waste as quickly as it’s formed, which means a a good deal healthier environment for your fish. Skimmers can also be useful in getting rid of other substances that can form in the tank such as carbohydrates, fatty substances, and even elements that can be contained in organic molecules.

Essentially, if you really want to have a successful tank a protein skimmer can be one of the most important purchases you’ll invest in. Protein skimmers are available in a broad range of designs, sizes and prices - the more costly ones require less upkeep and are easier to install. Whatever the case, try to purchase a protein skimmer with a large collection cup. Also remember, the stronger the bubble generator, the more efficient is the protein skimmer.

As a leading innovator and manufacturer of quality products for aquarium hobbyists, Red Sea constantly strives to provide hobbyists of all levels with highly effective solution-driven products designed to make your fish-keeping experience as enjoyable and successful as possible. The Red Sea Protein Skimmer achieves just that.

What to look for when choosing an SEO company for your business

When looking for a good quality SEO company there are a few things to look out for.

Ensure you source a company who can meet your requirements. An organic SEO company and search engine optimisation specialist with good credentials goes without saying.

We’ve listed a few useful pointers to bare in mind when trying to find the best services on offer

Keyword Research – What are the key words and phrases a customer uses to find the goods or services you offer? Keyword research is the most important phase of seo. Be realistic with your keywords. Don’t expect to reach the first page in 1 month. It can take a year of optimisation and link building to reach a high rank and it depends on many factors. Any seo company promising to get you ranked no 1 for every keyword is unrealstic. No one can promise number one spot as rankings fluctuate anyway and the search engines are continually adapting but they can give assurances on say getting your keyword on the 1st page or top 5.

Testimonials and client lists. Check how well their clients are competing in their online market space. If they have achieved good things for them, then they are probably worth their fee.

They should be offering to audit your site for technical issues, optimisation problems,eg. site maps etc. On page optimisation is still an important factor so they should be looking at the architecture of the site, layout, programming techniques, dynamic coding and good internal linking using good keywords.

Directory Submissions – To ensure proper indexing your website should be manually submitted to the search engines. Search engines do not approve of automatic submission and doing so can result in future problems. Companies advertising that they will “Submit your website to millions of directories and search engines for just $50 are to be avoided at all costs

Link Building – Some form of seo link building services should be offered, but check that they are not gaining links from bad neighbourhoods and dodgy websites. Inbound links should be relevant and from quality sources. The SEO company should provide a detailed link analysis and tell you where your competitors stand and what steps they would take to get links from topical sites, directories and social networks. It’s difficult to determine the number of links required, but the firm should provide competitive link research and analysis so they can prognosticate how many links you require for your keyword terms.

Will they be submitting news articles for you? This is a major part of building a robust seo strategy that will last. You can always write your own and get them to optimise them.

Social media optimisation is the buzz word now, but is very important. A good SEO company should not be ignoring this and can be a great opportunity to get direct visitors from social media sites like youtube and myspace.

SEO companies should provide a clear listing of the cost of each service that they will provide you on their efforts. Some SEO companies tend to forget this part, so ensure that these services are properly outlined and organized.

Some companies provide only SEO, but some also provide other services such as PPC, web analytics, multi-variate testing, e-mail marketing, social media optimization (blogs, videos and podcasts), link building and more. If you want a firm that does all more than just SEO, then ask them if they offer these extra services aswell. At the time of writing you can expect to pay atleast £500/month for a link building camapign and possibly upto £5000/month for a large ecommerce site.

Can they rank their own website? One of the first things you should look into is whether or not their site is ranked highly or not.If they don’t rank higher than the 3rd page, then maybe they should be dismissed.

Reports – It is always important to know how your keywords are performing. Ensure you receive monthly reports of your keyword rankings and link building progrmme. eg no of links and an inventory of where the links are coming from

Finally, when it comes to cost remember this! If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is and if you pay the cheapest price, then you are probably going to get what you pay for.

Organic Tomato Gardening

Envision sinking your teeth in to a home picked, wonderfully ripe, delicious and organically grown tomato, with the juice running down your chin. Yummy!

Through organic tomato gardening, you’ll be able to say goodbye to those shop-bought tomatoes with tough skins, and tasteless, pale flesh. Whenever tomatoes are home grown organically and are naturally ripened, it is easy to pluck a tomato off your plant and eat it without washing it to get rid of chemical substances.

Nowadays people are becoming increasingly aware and concerned about the importance of their health. As a result of this world-wide shift in awareness, a lot more people right around the world are selecting to explore the alternative of growing their own organic veg and fruits, including organic tomato gardening. Tomatoes will grow in just about any kind of soil and after the frosts are gone.

Organic tomato gardening in your backyard is incredibly simple:

First decide where you want to place your tomato bed, ensuring it is in a sunny position and away from trees and shrubs, which tend to rob the soil of the nutrition you will need for your plants. Tomatoes like six to eight hours of sun every day.

Second, dig over the soil and apply some well rotted compost and manure. If you don’t curently have any on hand, you can buy bags of compost and manure from your Garden Nursery. Rake over your garden bed and leave for a week or so.

Third is to choose which variety of tomato you want to grow. The little cocktail ones that do well in garden containers, or the plum shaped ones, or maybe even the big beefsteak ones. There are lots of varieties to select from which are ideal for organic tomato gardening.

Furthermore, you’ll need some garden stakes to support your plants as they grow. You can grow from seed or buy seedlings which will save you some time - that’s what I like to do.

Right after going to your Garden Nursery to select the seedlings you need for your organic tomato gardening, the fourth step is to plant them out, sticking to the directions that come with the container. Usually you would plant your tomatoes about two to two and a half feet apart and hammer in a stake alongside to support your plant as they grow heavy and laden with fruit.

Almost done - right now you need to water your plants in well, after that stand back and admire your own handiwork.

Be sure you keep the ground moist although not soggy and finally when the plants are about six weeks old, it’s a good time to then add cow tea.

This is made by placing about a quarter of a bucketful of cow manure into an old used bucket, fill it up with water, stir and leave to “brew” for a week or two. Pour off about a quarter of the ‘tea’ right into a watering can, fill with water and apply to the tomatoes.

You’ll be surprised at how well your tomatoes will love cow tea and respond. Stand back and wait for your first batch of organic tomatoes to ripen. Save the remainder of the cow tea to apply again in another two to three weeks, always diluting it, or water it into other garden beds.

My personal favorite tomato recipe is to toast some bread, spread with butter, add some slices of tomato and some freshly chopped basil. Season with some salt and pepper. Enjoy - this is simply delicious! Nothing is better than the fresh, full flavor of home grown tomatoes from organic tomato gardening.
