Trying to Treat Your Sweating Issues
Excessive sweating is a problem more than a third of the population suffers from. This condition is basically brought about by genes, where someone from the sufferer’s family suffers from it. This condition is not only caused by genes but other contributing factors could include the menopause, overactive thyroid or antidepressant drugs.
This condition can be quite embarrassing especially when it causes sweat patches or unpleasant body odour. It is not the actual sweat that smells. The sweat is broken down into to fatty acids by bacteria which breed in it. The nasty body odour is caused by the fatty acids.
The main areas of the body which experience excessive sweating are the armpits, groin, hands face and feet. An excess of sweat can sometimes cause bromhidrosis which results in the sweat being broken down by bacteria and yeast. These areas can get white, crackled, wrinkled, red and inflamed and cause general itchiness and discomfort to the sufferers.
For this reason, you should know how to manage your sweating problems. Many people use deodorants to control sweat, thinking they are anti-perspirant. Many people however, mistakenly think that all deodorants contain antiperspirants but some only disguise the smell. Choose anti-perspirants that have aluminum chloride in them, which closes pores to prevent sweat and thus keep you dry.
Avoid wearing clingy clothing as they exaggerate the condition. Instead, wear clothing that is loose and breathe well. Another tip is to wear clothes that are lighter as stains will be less noticeable. Dark clothes not only attract heat, but stains on them are easily visible.
Sweating will be increased if you drink hot fluids so you should limit the amount you drink. Instead, drink as much water as possible to cure your sweating problems by not only lessening your sweat, but also by cooling your body.
Follow these tips and you will soon start to stop sweating.
